This is the most over priced restaurant in Dallas. The wait staff is terrible. They only want to sell you their most expensive wines. Would never go here again.

Pros: Location

Cons: Arrogant servers and high prices.

My wife is a Texan, born and raised. She claims to have the monopoly on good taste in all things Texan, including steakhouses. This is why, a couple Friday evenings ago, she raised a suspecting eyebrow when I suggested we go to Park Cities Prime as opposed Bob's Steak & Chop. After some heated domestic wrangling which included name-calling and bribery, we were on our way to Park Cities Prime for a Friday Dinner; we could not have been more Impressed! The dining room was dimly lit and inviting, a flat-screen TV posted at the head of the bar for those who like to catch up on Sportcenter with an after dinner bourbon. We elected to sit upstairs because my wife is always cold and routinely neglects to bring a jacket. We got a comfy corner booth and started into the wine list. The wine list is extensive and can be daunting if you don't know what you're doing. Thank goodness for Garry, the Maitre'D and wine guy, we got a really good bottle of wine for a great price (I should mention that they have a Captian's page on the list which has 25 or so bottles of wine for great prices). Regarding steakhouse menus, I'm a carnivore and am happy with a medium-rare filet. My wife tends to like a little more variety and they had a number of different seafood appetizers and entrees to keep the wife happy. You must try these appetizers: Bacon-wrapped scallops and the lobster bisque. I usually think scallops are a waste of time and lobster bisque is, well, lobster bisque; I'm man enough to admit that I may have been mistaken (may have...). My filet was, at risk of sounding cheesy and cliche, the best filet I've ever had: it was seasoned perfectly, cooked perfectly, and left me wanting to order another. Luckily, they have a kajillion sizes of filets so I can get it right next time. I don't usually spend time tooling around online rating stuff; but I thought Park Cities Prime deserves some attention; it's a good one!
